Who ever said, "Drive For Show. Putt For Dough!" was right. It's very true.
Who will ever forget the five foot putt Bernhard Langer missed at The Ocean Course, Kiawah Island Golf Resort at Kiawah Island, South Carolina to lose Europe the Cup in 1991.
And what about - (at that level!) - Ian Poulter getting putting instructions not only from Bernhard Langer but also from Nick Faldo in 2008, at the Valhalla Golf Club? Proving you are never too good to learn.
The only thing that really improved my putting was practice, practise and more practise. I'd lay a strip of short-pole carpet on the living room floor, (we have a wooden floor), use a beer-mat as the hole and putt, putt and putt. And it worked real wonders for my results. But ...... as soon as you cut down on the practise you go downhill fast.
